DIVINITY CANDY

2 1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. white Karo

1/2 c. water

1 t. vanilla

Pecans (optional)

Cook until this forms a hard ball in a cup of cold water then pour into two stiffly beaten egg whites.  Add one teaspoon vanilla.  One cup of nuts may be added, if desired.  Beat until candy consistency and pour into greased platter.
