SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

2 sticks butter

1/4 t. soda

3 c. sugar

1/4 salt

6 eggs

1 t. vanilla

3 c. flour

1/4 t. almond extract

Grease and flour 1 tube pan or 2 loaf pans.  Let ingredients get to room temperature before starting.  Cream butter.  Add sugar gradually.  Beat in eggs one at a time.  Combine flour salt, soda and add alternately with sour cream to first mixture.  Stir in flavorings.  Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hr. 15 minutes.  (Check after 1 hour.)
